“English Teacher”: Series Premiering Sept 2 on FX

The official trailer for “English Teacher,” a new comedy series set to premiere on FX, has been released. The series follows Evan, a high school English teacher in Austin, Texas, who navigates the complexities of balancing the demands of both students and their parents in a constantly evolving educational environment.

About the Series

“English Teacher” was filmed in Georgia under the code name MHS and was originally ordered to pilot in June 2022. The show was created by and stars Brian Jordan Alvarez, known for his roles in “Jane the Virgin,” “2 Broke Girls,” “Get Shorty,” and the revival of “Will & Grace.” Alvarez also serves as an executive producer on the series.

The series features a cast that includes Stephanie Koenig, Enrico Colantoni, and Sean Patton. In addition to Alvarez, the executive production team includes Paul Simms, an executive producer on “What We Do in the Shadows” and previously on “Atlanta,” along with Jonathan Krisel, known for his work on “Baskets” and “Portlandia,” and Dave King, who has worked on “Parks and Recreation” and “The Good Place.” FX Productions is producing the series.

Premiere Information

“English Teacher” is scheduled to premiere on FX on September 2, 2024, with episodes available for streaming on Hulu beginning September 3, 2024.
