Filming is continuing around Georgia on Paramount+’s Tulsa King season 3. The popular crime drama from Taylor Sheridan and starring Sylvester Stallone as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, will continue its story of organized crime in an unexpected setting — the heartland of America.
Production Timeline and Filming Locations
Season 3 production began the week of March 19, 2025, with filming taking place in Atlanta, Georgia and select locations in Oklahoma under the production code King Street. The current shooting schedule runs through July 14, 2025.
Although Tulsa King originally filmed primarily in Oklahoma for season 1 — Season 2 shifted most of its production to the Atlanta area. Season 3 is expected to follow the same model. While the show is not listed among Oklahoma’s current recipients of state film and television incentives, limited filming may still occur there, as it did in 2024 when the crew (excluding principal cast) returned to Tulsa for supplemental footage.
Series Performance and Audience Reception
The production comes on the heels of strong performance metrics. The Season 2 premiere drew 21.1 million global streaming viewers, breaking records as the most-watched global premiere in Paramount+ history. According to the platform, Season 2 also achieved 159 million views and 6.1 million social media engagements, cementing its place as one of the streamer’s most successful original series.

Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as Dwight Manfredi, a former New York mafia capo who, after serving 25 years in prison, is sent to Tulsa by his boss’s son. Rather than retire, Dwight builds a new criminal operation with a cast of colorful local characters.

Paramount+ has confirmed several new cast members joining Season 3:
- Robert Patrick will play Jeremiah Dunmire, a powerful figure in the liquor business.
- Beau Knapp joins as Cole Dunmire, his impulsive son.
- Bella Heathcote appears as Cleo Montague, a Tulsa native and daughter of a distillery owner.
- James Russo will portray Quiet Ray Renzetti, a measured mob boss based in New York.
Patrick is also known for his role as Sheriff William McDowell in 1923, another Taylor Sheridan production.
While Sylvester Stallone has never appeared in a Star Wars film, he does share a connection through his Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 co-star Kurt Russell. Russell famously auditioned for the role of Han Solo in the original Star Wars but ultimately lost the part to Harrison Ford. So, Stallone is just one degree away from the galaxy far, far away.
