The romantic comedy You’re Cordially Invited is now available on Amazon Prime. Written and directed by Nicholas Stoller, the film stars Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon in the lead roles. Production kicked off in Atlanta in May 2023.
At a London screening, The Hollywood Reporter captured insights from Ferrell and Witherspoon on working together. Ferrell emphasized the film’s blend of humor and heart, saying, “It’s as funny a movie as you’re going to see in terms of just letting loose and letting it rip.”

The movie follows two brides-to-be and their families as they deal with an unexpected problem—both have booked the same secluded resort for their weddings. Margot (Reese Witherspoon), the sister of one bride, is focused on executing the perfect ceremony, while Jim (Will Ferrell), the father of the other bride, is determined to keep everything on track. With two wedding parties colliding, the situation quickly spirals into chaos, leading to plenty of comedic moments and clashing personalities.

Alongside Ferrell and Witherspoon, the cast includes Geraldine Viswanathan and Meredith Hagner. The film is a collaboration between Stoller Global Solutions, Gloria Sanchez Productions, and Hello Sunshine.
Filming primarily took place in Greensboro, Georgia, near Lake Oconee, with additional scenes shot in Atlanta, including a moment at State Farm Arena.
