Amazon Prime Video’s The Bondsman, a supernatural action series starring Kevin Bacon, is now streaming on Amazon Prime. The series was filmed extensively in Georgia, with production taking place across several Georgia towns in and around Coweta County. Shooting occurred under the working title Pot O’Gold in locations like Grantville, Senoia, and Sharpsburg. Viewers may recognize some of the region’s signature backdrops—abandoned buildings, rolling hills, and dense forests—especially those familiar with Senoia, long known as the filming hub for The Walking Dead.
What's it About?
Bacon plays Hub Halloran, a backwoods bounty hunter who’s brought back from the dead by the Devil to track down escaped demons and send them back to hell. As he navigates this grim afterlife assignment, Halloran also confronts the sins that condemned him and attempts to redeem himself through a second shot at life, love, and country music. The show is set in the fictional town of Landry, Georgia, but many scenes were shot in and around real Georgia locations.

The series blends horror and dark comedy with a supernatural Western flair. Alongside Bacon, the cast includes Jennifer Nettles (The Righteous Gemstones), Damon Herriman (Justified), Beth Grant (Donnie Darko), Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in Space), and Jolene Purdy (The White Lotus).

Since premiering on April 3, 2025, The Bondsman has quickly gained popularity. It became the third-most-watched streaming title across all platforms during its debut week, just behind The White Lotus on Max and Hulu’s Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. The series has also earned an 84% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
